A couple of his statements stood out to me:
1) “America’s chickens have come home to roost.”
2) “The greatest way to strike terror into the hearts of America is to hit them right in the heart. Here in the heartland, in the soil...”
The Muslim evangelist sites two verses from the Qur’an in support of his view of the attack: Surah 8:60 and Surah 9:73.
S 8:60 – “Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of God and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom God doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of God, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.” Yusuf Ali
S 9:73 – “O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell, - an evil refuge indeed.” Yusuf Ali
Near the end of the video, the crowd can be heard chanting, “Allahu Akbar,” “Great is God.”

Where did he do this?
In New York City
It is responsible of us to point out that these individuals are not respresentatives of all Muslims.
In fact these people, RevolutionMuslim, are indeed shunned by the larger Muslim community
I would stree the importance of avoiding the further demonizing of Muslims on the internet
I, indeed, am a Muslim and the constant nudges and propaganda material against Muslims is rather concerning.
Yahya,
I reported what the man said. I did not interpret it or provide an editorial on it.
If you say these people are shunned from the larger Muslim community, then perhaps my readers should go check out if this sort of preaching lines out with places like Saudi Arabia (A person could search online for Muslim preaching from Saudi Arabia. Or watch a talk show online from there). The problem is, I bet it does line up. And Saudi Arabia would be considered part of the "larger" Muslim community of which you are speaking.
I specifically avoided adding commentary to this video, other than "In this video, a Muslim dawah—evangelist—affirms the murders at Fort Hood as part of the necessary task of Muslims to fight the unbeliever (the enemy) according to the Qur’an," which is a truthful statement. And "A couple of his statements stood out to me," which relays a few of the his comments that I thought stood out...leaving it up to the individual to decide what they think. I didn't say anything warranting an accusation of "demonizing."
Just like Christians who do or say things that get posted to the internet, Muslims are not above reproach. If these guys are that bad, Muslims should shut them down or at least publicly denounce them.
What is CAIR's position on them? Have they publicly denounced such preaching?
And how am I demonizing Muslims by quoting the Qur'an as quoted by a Muslim? Again, I did not interpret the Qur'an. I relayed what the Muslim dawah said. So if these verses have not been used properly by the Muslim dawah, then refute his use of them.
I hope people can see what just happened in your post: You complained that I am demonizing Muslims for the actions and words that Muslims themselves are saying and posting online.
MJ
*for the words that Muslims themselves are saying and posting online.
Okay, the guys over at Answering Muslims just posted this video to help the readers determine if this Muslim dawah's attitude is prevalent in the larger Muslim community. Here's some video from the pilgrimage to Mecca in which the crowd is led in chanting "There is no god but Allah. Death to America. Death to Israel." Are the subtitles wrong?
Check it out and explain:

How is this not demonizing America as part of religious worship? These are the Islamic leaders in Mecca.
The greater point is that these people are as representative of Islam as Shirley Phelps Roper is to Christianity
The point which we all seem to be missing here is that we cannot isolate a few bad apples and present them on the net irresponsibly as it just further encourages misconceptions and division between communities.
I personally find Muslims to be great people, I am also a Muslim. Christians, I find them to be friendly people too...but someon the net do seem to over-do it with their demonizing of Muslims.
Note: I am not accusing you of doing this, MJ...merely pointing out that there should be awareness and action from the Christian community to protect Muslims...it is only responsible
I hope I made myself clearer. Thanks
